Handfuls Of Harmony Choir
Handfuls of Harmony is an exciting inter-generational community choir created by the South West Bristol Co-operative Learning Trust community. It is open to anyone living and working in South Bristol, anyone connected with one of our schools, and anyone living elsewhere who wants to be involved and can make it to our rehearsals!
Our choir is for people of all ages and abilities and we value everyone’s contribution, whether you are a confident singer or this is your first time singing with other people. If you fancy having a go, in a friendly, supportive environment and would like to be part of a vibrant singing community then this is a great place to start.
Since September 2013 we have been bringing together children from local primary schools in BS3 to sing with parents, grandparents, relatives, school staff, and other adults from the wider community, at regular concerts. In November 2014 we secured funding from the Big Lottery People’s Millions (thanks to 8,000 votes of support from people in the local community), which is enabling us to expand our work in the South Bristol area. It means we can reach out to many more people and offer them the chance to engage with the life-affirming experience of singing together in harmony.
