Ashton Park School supports the Children’s University
We are pleased to announce Ashton Park School is now a Learning Destination as part of the West of England Children’s University. The Children’s University programme encourages all children aged 5 to 14 years to try new experiences, develop new interests and acquire new skills through participation in innovative and creative learning activities outside of the school day. These learning activities are designed to raise aspiration, encourage motivation, introduce new life experiences, develop personal skills and progress learning.
All of Ashton Park’s extra-curricular activities, such as dance, drama & science clubs, Duke of Edinburgh Award, Lush Voices choir and the Sports Partnership’s Leadership Academy can count towards hours of accredited learning.
Those year 7 & 8 students who already take part in the programme are invited to see Mrs Scroggs in E block with their passports. All remaining year 7 students will have an opportunity to sign up to the scheme later in the school year.
Ashton Vale Primary is also a Learning Destination and Compass Point and Luckwell will soon be registered and active. Ask in your school for details or see HERE for more information.
